general
◊ First and foremost, have fun! We want to be your choice, not your burden.
◊ Cursing is allowed, but not excessively, and not aimed towards anyone.
◊ The only place chatspeak is allowed is in the cbox, and only minimally.
◊ Absolutely no wolfspeak. This makes reading and replying a chore.
◊ Respect fellow members.
◊ Do not carry IC fights or grudges to OOC.
in character
◊ You may have as many characters as you like, as long as you can keep track of them all. We would prefer just one character that you can keep extremely active, but there is no limit.
◊ No powerplaying (playing another's character without their consent) or godmoding (pretending your character is invincible and/or perfect).
◊ RP posts must be at least one paragraph (8 sentences minimum).
◊ All characters must be on only one account.
◊ One month represents one season; therefore, 1 year in reality equals 3 in IC.
◊ Pups are considered mature adults once they are 24 moons, or 2 years, old.
aetherprints
◊ Aetherprints, or AP, are what you use to buy abilities for your character, customized images, or extras for your profile. They're TR's form of money.
◊ Use your AP at The Rift's Shop.
◊ You gain 5 AP for every valued post you make. Valued posts include replies to announcements, activity checks, role-playing, etc. It does not include random threads and games.
aetherpack gifts
◊ Aetherpack Gifts are not Aetherprints. They are given to you in IC by your character's guardian if your character is 'worthy' in Aetherpack's views.
◊ Your guardian will be named when your character bio is accepted.
◊ To be considered to receive a Gift, your character must have done something noble. Sometimes they are given randomly.
◊ Your guardian will appear to you occasionally in any of your IC posts. They are visible to any wolf near you, but you are the only one who can hear their voice. They are a solid form, which means you can still touch noses with them etc, but they are also considered Spirits.
battles
◊ If there is a battle between Packs, the alpha of your Pack will post a list of half the Pack to fight. The rest must stay back and guard camp.
◊ Battles between two characters can happen at any time. If you want to have a battle with another character, you must inform an admin. They will then post after each character involved in the battle posts with the results. For example, if Sun and Moon are fighting, it would go like this: Sun's post, Admin's post informing what damage is done, Moon's reaction post, Admin's post, then Sun's reaction post, Admin's post, Moon's reaction post, etc.
◊ You may challenge an omega, beta, or alpha to a battle at any time, only if you are a matured adult.
mates & reproduction
◊ No graphic breeding is allowed.
◊ Force breeding is allowed only if you have the female character RPer's consent (whereas it wouldn't really be "force" breeding).
◊ Characters must have at least 3 completed threads before mating.
◊ The password to the Square One creation board is "gnafetihw", no spaces...
◊ ...but you have to spell that backwards to create the actual password.
◊ If you wish to have pups, you must post in the New Life sub-board. Further instructions are within the board.
◊ Breeding and birthing is year-round.
