The wolves of Darayn have believed in the spirits of their noble deceased for thousands of centuries. Forming Aetherpack, a pack more often known as the Guardians, these spirits are seen as the chieftains of the lands. With formidable abilities to keep the Packs in order, Aetherpack always watches, but never interferes... until now.
In all species, no matter how gentle or aggressive, there is always an aptitude for "good vs. evil." But in this case, that contrast may not be quite so distinct. Individual wolves are becoming more obsessed with the hunt for Aetherpack's powers, known simply as Gifts. These Gifts can be given by, or stolen from, the many Aetherpack Guardians who come to Darayn as solid forms to protect their chosen wolf. Sometimes a full group of these power-hungry wolves form.
Still other wolves want change... they either want more land, better alphas, less Packs... or even one Pack obliterated. With these dangers lurking within the Realms, Aetherpack must be more precautious than ever before, and each wolf is forced to watch his or her own back. Trusting Aetherpack's prowess, though, no Pack really acknowledges how much things could be changing.
Sometimes, even the Spirits can't cure the corrupt.
