Even in madness, I know you still believe
A deep, trembling sigh exited from the off-white alpha femme's jaws as she realized that all had accepted her nomadic companion. With doubt, yes, but they had accepted him nonetheless. Why it affected her so, she had no idea, but she intended to figure it out eventually. But for now, her milky, sun-tickled gaze swept over the gathered group proudly. Each of them - Dragula, the strange one, Haze, confidently cocky, Siyl, sly and restless - were loyal to Sousepack, and more importantly to her, all in their own ways. And now, with Halifax, unusually quiet and muscular, they seemed to be an unstoppable, bonded force... for now, anyways. Nara's ear flicked with remise as she thought of the coming terrors of a drought. She had been through one before, and it had definitely not been as harsh as this upcoming one promised to be. As an alpha, she would be burdened with duties that would seem to weigh one hundred pounds upon her shoulder. But she would have these four - and Soul and Raelen - to depend on and protect. They were the fire behind her passion for her position.
"Thank you," she barked softly, her dancing golden eyes reflecting just how much she meant it. The intelligent alphess knew that her Pack's keen ears would not miss the inflection upon her words, and so she added in an even gentler tone, "I do not know why this request of mine affects me so much, but I do intend to find out." She shot a quick glance at the newest recruit to Sousepack, Halifax, as she said this, then turned her attention once more upon the three before her, somehow giving them equal attention. "I do know that there is serious complications coming toward us, and we need to be as strong as our bodies allow ourselves," Nara's voice was growing more and more confident as she spoke, the demanding alpha undertones that all noble wolf's gained with the high position seeping through her words once more, commanding their absolute attention. "Siyl, you must hunt as often as your energy permits. Gather as many large prey as possible, we'll need them for the growing heat. Any small creatures you catch, you may place in a pile nearby the largest willow tree in Sokanon." She turned to the two contrasting males, their pelts as different as day and night, and their attitudes most hostile toward each other. "Dragula, snap as many branches and thorn twigs as possible, and place them around our borders, and also around the area that Siyl places her kills. This shall be our headquarters, so to say, each night, as the other Packs will be trying to invade our lands for the prey we'll be receiving." She signed, turning to Haze and Halifax, knowing better than to place Halifax's training under Drag's testosterone-riddled watch. "Haze... I trust that you will train our new Pack member as well as you possibly can. Pass on to him any and every trick you know, and also teach him our lands, and get him acquainted with the rest of the Pack if possible. You two will be our main guards, and also be taking over my routine of checking borders."
After successfully giving her orders, knowing they would do as much as possible, and hoping they would put aside their differences in the coming threat, she raised her head and tail, her chest seeming to be puffed a bit more than usual. Letting her piercing yet gentle eyes lay once more upon each of them, and linger upon the handsome Halifax, she added, "I will be herding all prey to the river so that Siyl may collect as much as possible, so that it is near impossible for other Packs to steal - especially Valepack. I will also be trying to commune with Jeremy, Chaotic, and Jeroxern, but I cannot expect this to go well." And with that, she narrowed her eyes, swished her tail, and raised her maw to the scorching sun above, letting out a terrific howl that was full of authority and pride in her Pack, signaling the end of the 'formal' part of the meeting she had called. After her forlorn voice had faded, she turned once more to her new Warrior, eyes wide and unblinking as she waited for him to, at last, say something.

Dragula was reverting to his old ways in a matter of minutes. He had tried turning a new leaf, but to be honest it just wasnt him. As he sat there listening and enduring shots being taken at him, he grew bitter. When his dark auds had been struck with Haze's words, a low rumbling growl echoed from deep with in his throat. He was tired of this fucking brute taking shots at him. Sure Haze rubbed off as cocky, and confident, but quite honestly Dragula didnt think he could hold his own. The maned brute knew that Haze let his mouth do most of the work, where he honestly doubted the brute could back it up with tooth and nail. This only made the desire to kick the alabaster wolf's ass grow. Dragula had been quite composed, secretive, and well honestly kept mostly to himself. So for any of these wolves to truly know him would be blasphemy, for not a damn soul in this circle knew was he was capable of. Dragula just let his bi-colored orbs look over at Haze, obvious hate burning in them. He knew was Haze was doing, he knew the card he was playing all too well. Haze hoped that Dragula wouldnt remain composed, and blow his cover with Nara. However, he had forgotten on major thing.. Nara was quite aware of the restless soul the lived with in the dark maned brute. Although she had never seen him at his worst, she had gotten a taste of it the night she had discovered him on her borders.
At the moment the maned wolf was debating his next move, for he could easily start something with Haze right now. There was a lot of unrest between the two males, and if Nara hadnt sensed it she was foolish, her head in the clouds. Dragula would have liked nothing better than to leap from his dirt pile, and dig his daggers into the males supposed glorious white pelt, dig his double edge knives into his throat. His eyes swelled with excitement at the thought of crimson being spilled on the white canvas. The taste of iron dripping down his throat, the mere taste of the wolf enough to fuel his frenzy, and make him want more. Dragula however decided that he much rather deal with Haze in private... more so that he could enjoy the hunt and the chase. Though it was true he had cannibal tendencies, he preferred not to eat his own kind. For in Dragula's mind it was something to be frowned upon, but with the threat of a potential drought, perhaps going back to his old ways was not such a terrible idea. Who was he fooling, no one really expected the night shade to change his ways did they? Maybe Nara had desired to keep the more playful, mysterious, passive brute as her best friend, but to be honest, that just was not him. Dragula decided on his next move, and boy was it going to be shockingly disrespectful one. If Nara wanted to interigate him about it, she knew where to find him.
He snapped back to attention when she began to dish out order, which he snorted at. When she mentioned his name, he got to his feet. It was obvious no one here wanted his presence, and well he wasn't about to endure their pettiness anymore. Him and Haze would never see eye to eye, Halifax was a threat, Siyl despised his very existence and thought him a freak, and well he could slowly see himself falling out of favor with Nara... so quite frankly, fuck them all. As she began to tell him what to do, a cocky grin spread over his face as he turned effortlessly and sauntered off, not paying any mind to what she was telling him. Haze had egged him to attack, and well that would come later. Everyone thought his mere pet like attitude towards Nara would keep him composed, but Dragula was never one to live up to expectations. So like a slap to Nara's face he disapeared amongst the trees.

The big Souse male yawned, anticipating the end of the formal grouping. The tone of Nara's voice conveyed the beginning of her last words as she began to give out the orders to her loyal pack, each assigned with very specific instructions to follow out. It made Halifax realize that whatever threat was fast encroaching, it was more serious than he had expected. Other packs invading to take their prey? A scene played out in his mind: wolves appearing from the surrounding forest, feverish with unsatiated hunger, teeth bared and hackles raised. Halifax imagined the small group around him trying to fend off such an ambush, and it became clear as to why Nova was taking as many precautions as was possible.
Hal watched each wolf respond to their Alpha's orders, seeing it register in their minds. When it came to the ash-pelted male, he expected the mutt to start wagging his tail with excitement at being given something useful to do for his queen. Because of this expectation, what the young wolf actually did was beyond comprehension. Hal's jaw popped open a fraction before the rage began to boil in his blood. How dare he show such open disrespect to his superior? How dare he turn his back on her when she had shown him nothing but kindness? How dare he be so fucking cocky in the face of his Alpha? Halifax had grown up under law that if a pack member were to commit such a crime, he would have his throat ripped out before he could take but a single step.
Unable to fight off the blinding fury that overtook him, a blood-curdling snarl ripped from deep within his throat as he tore after the little rat, teeth bared, ears flattened. It took a lot of self-control not to tear the scrawny wolf limb from limb, and to achieve that, he had to clamp his jaw shut - the temptation was for too powerful otherwise. With the momentum of his bolt, Halifax knocked the unsuspecting pup to the ground, large paws aiming to pin him down. Panting more with rage than exertion, he brought his face within inches of Dragula and hissed: "I believe your Alpha was speaking to you, Dragula."
sorry to jump in - if it causes too much distress, I can delete this post. Also, a thousand apologies for the little power-playing there >< If you want to alter the outcome Drag, you are welcome to - this is simply Halifax's intention.[/ul][/sub] [/blockquote][/blockquote]

So the true disrespectful pup is revealed...
~ It was in how Drag snorted at Nara's order. How he scoffed off his responsibility and walked away from the group. Haze watched the brute leave. His amusement vanishing as he pondered and adjusted his plan. Drag just showed restraint, a possible hatred and planning of his own. Haze had a slight respect for such a thing. Regardless, his attention and planning for Drag were on hold. Now, he had charge of the new recruit. There was a trust in there, if Nara knew it or not. She was trusting Haze with someone she was eying. Guess Haze will have-
It was odd, to think that the contained recruit would be so... spontaneous. Haze's eyes flicked to Hali only a moment before the brute charged Drag, nearly barreling the unprepared brute as Hali pinned him. Respectful attack, Haze had to say. Yet, it was uncalled for... it spoiled his plans horribly. Yet, that is the fun of planning and plotting. Things change, time to rewrite the plans.
Haze leaps, passing Nara and gaining a foothold a good way from Hali. Now he made his way, coming alongside the recruited brute as he relayed his own words. It was shameful in its own way. Yet, Haze found a use for this situation. " First thing to learn pup... " Haze started off, working to push Hali off. Dare should the brute snap at him... well then he was pulling his luck. " You need Allies you do. Indeed. Drag did as he wished... Now if he slacked on his order. Then you could get mad indeed... right now? Nothing wrong he has done. " Haze voiced, playing his own game yet defending Drag for the sake of it. Seeing now that this would only continue his plans. In so, Haze rather forcibly attempted to push the recruit from Drag. Attempting to place his body between the two.
Yet, in that little movement. Haze pushed his muzzle towards Hali's ear. Making sure that his vocie only carried so that the recruit could hear. " Disrespectful or not, Indeed. He is part of here... In my experience... it is best to know your wolves... To be a solid Alpha regardless. " Haze held an inward chuckle as he eyed the two. Not able to contain the eagerness he was holding to see the two of them continue this bout.
Yet right now? The two of them had to much to lose. Haze had much riding on them both.

Before Dragula had time to register the pounding of feet behind him, he was shoved into the cool earth. Though the male who pinned him was not the one he had expected to see, rather a look of puzzlement overwhelmed his face for a few moments. It quickly vanished into a less than friendly smile. The dark pelted brute pulled his lips back, exposing is less than attractive bite. Where long sleek canines should have been, laid two short fang, over lapping one another. Dragula snarled, his auds pinning back as he attempted to press his dagger clad mitts hard into the other males chest. When he spoke to Dragula, the mane wold growled, Who was this brute to tell him shit? He was fucking newbie, who had just been granted this packs grace, and here he was foolishly risking it. What a dumb shit. The maned brute laughed slightly. "And I believe you are in no position to tell me shit." Dragula growled bitterly. It was true the newbie before him had no authority to pin him to the ground, he had no authority to attempt to make him apologize, and most of all if he wanted to keep his life, he should really be guarding his neck better. Was a foolish move to put ones face so close to anothers jaws. Dragula planned on teaching this brute that by snapping inches from his face in mere warning.
When the brute finally did move, Dragula got to his feet and shook his pelt without care. Honestly, other than pissing him off this brute had unphased him. Dragula was not in the least afraid of him, and he wasnt in the least going to apologize either, If Nara wanted an apology she'd come get one. But honestly, Dragula thought Nara would be more concerned about why he lashed out, not about him walking off. Sure in front of the others he might get a good tongue lashing, but later on when they were enjoying the afternoon under the willow, she'd dig deeper. When Haze appeared, Dragula gave him a simple silent look of appreciation, and respect.. one only noted by Haze. As for Hali he would be better off watching his back from now on.. for he was in no grand position.. and the masses were fickle. Haze, Nara, Dragula and Siyl could easily turn on hims given the right incentive... a drought perhaps. "Watch your back nomad." Dragula muttered as he walked past the two, his auds alert if the foolish brute attempted it once more. Dragula would give him grace only this once, if he was foolish enough to try it again.. he would be facing the gangly creatures wrath.
Dragula continued to saunter off to the solitude he was craving more than ever. At the moment he contimplated what Haze was planning. The brute was cunning, Drag would give him that. He knew with his sudden disrespect that he had shocked Haze, and thrown whatever he was planning to the coyotes. But that only led him to believe that Haze would shift his plans to suite his outcome once more. However, Hali had managed to permently get on Dragula's shit list, and boy was he going to enjoy tormenting the omega nomad to no end... though in the pit of his stomach, the dark bastard had a feeling Nara would give him a much better ranking before the evening ended... bitches and their hormones... such foolishes wenches they could be.

Chest still heaving, teeth now bared in warning, Halifax felt himself begin calm. One ear flicked back at the sound of somebody approaching, but he did not tear his eyes from the mass of fur beneath him. Whoever was nearing, they were doing so in no hurry, eliminating the possibility of it being Nara. The stench of testosterone filled his nostrils and he knew it had to be Haze, the alabaster male. Halifax was surprised to feel the wolf attempt to shove him off of Dragula, and at first his rigid body refused to yield to the pressure. "And I believe you are in no position to tell me shit." Already on the knife-edge of pulling himself back together, that comment was all that was needed to finally send the usually-placid male back into his passive state. Haze gave him a firmer shove, and this time Halifax pulled away from Dragula. "Just as you are no position to turn your back on your Alpha." he said conversationally, as though they were speaking of tomorrow's weather.
Halifax barely heard the black mutt's jeer as the other male, Haze, now addressed him. It was the word "pup" that had caught his stiff attention. "First thing to learn, pup.." Halifax stared wide-eyed for a moment, caught off-guard by the far-too-familiar quip. "Look here, pup. First thing to learn.." his father used to interject his mother's teachings with that comment often, always drawing a scowl from his mate as she back off to let him add his two cents. "You need Allies you do. Indeed. Drag did as he wished... Now if he slacked on his order. Then you could get mad indeed... right now? Nothing wrong he has done." Halifax raised a brow at Haze, questioning his words. "You think it ok to skulk off when the Alpha is speaking - much less to you?" He struggled to get around the fact that these wolves obviously thought little of the pup's behavior, that it was perfectly fine. What did the Alpha's have around here if it wasn't firm respect? What were followers if they did not follow? What was the point of the whole damn system!? Though the questions circled his mind dauntingly, he kept himself composed, listening to what more the other male might have to say.
Halifax was just able to make out the quiet words intended only for his ears as they swept by, a hurried last comment that he obviously did not want to the befallen pup to hear: "Disrespectful or not, Indeed. He is part of here... In my experience... it is best to know your wolves... To be a solid Alpha regardless." Hal cocked his head slightly, but did not allow it to be obvious, his eyes questioning Haze. There he was, going on about that Alpha business again. It made no sense to Halifax. Regardless, he was able to grasp the context of what the wolf was trying to tell him. It was still not enough to combat his rigid beliefs against what Dragula had done though, and nothing ever would. In his mind, such an act of disrespect was never ok. Of all Haze's words though, one thing stuck in his mind: You need allies. If there was one thing his father always insisted upon, it was that the strength of a pack was dependent not on the skill of their warriors, but the durability of their bond to one another.

Even in madness, I know you still believe
Her dancing golden eyes seemed to turn to ice stones as Dragula's small movements clearly showed what he was about to do next. Rigid and unblinking, it seemed Nara could only watch as her closest Pack member turned his back on her in cold blood, throwing it in her face and practically laughing at her, laughing at her authority, at their friendship, even at Sousepack. She was frozen to the spot, temporarily dazed. Everything was slow motion - Drag turning his back on her, showing his true colors that she had believed were almost gone; Halifax bravely going after him as a true warrior would do; Haze's less frantic approach as he spoke to each of them calmly.
And then, it seemed her clear world shattered. Her pure happiness, the source of which had been the coal-black, maned brute a few yards from her whom she had thought was her best friend, faded to a less-than-acceptable gray, and her eyes clouded with pain as Nara knew what she would have to do next. Letting her milky, sun-kissed eyes turn hard and unemotional, something they rarely ever did, she approached the three males slowly, her orbs narrowing and her auds absolutely flattened against her beautiful creamy nape. Her tail was held high, screaming her high rank and duties to the air, as a little piece of her heart seemed to undo itself at the seems and fall away into nothingness. Her tainted, ashen lips pulled back to reveal razor sharp, snowy teeth. Her paws carried her unconsciously until she was just half a foot away from Dragula's unfriendly sneers and jaunts. And, just as unexpectedly as her puppet-like follower had turned his back on her, she let out a ear-curdling snarl, one that even Haze or Siyl would expect come out of her calm, collected jaws.
Her neck hares bristling and her lean body crouched as if ready to pounce upon the maned male as if he were prey - which she would actually never do - Nara barked very, very softly, her tone cold as ice and her eyes solid as the devil's - "You disappoint me, Dragula." The formal name didn't sound right at all upon her tongue, but she didn't let herself hesitate or show emotion, as much as she wanted to. Her Pack came first... whether or not he would be part of it willingly. "Either you abandon us in a time of need, or you accept all of us, cherish this Pack, and protect us with your life. You do that, and there will be no problems." She shook her furry head suddenly, as if ridding a dark thought from her mind. She needed someone's presence beside her - one that wasn't riddled with hormones, or tainted with hatred. Without letting her cool gaze leave Dragula's bristling form, she called softly, "Siyl, could you come here, please?" Her voice was wavering, showing her signs of mental fatigue that she had kept so well hidden as she snarled at Dragula as if her were... were...
An enemy. As that thought hit her mind with force, Nara's narrowed golden eyes snapped open. An enemy? Drag? Impossible. Yet... obviously it wasn't impossible. Considering the scene in front of her. Even the new recruit, Halifax, whom she had an unexplained pull towards, was already showing loyal ties to her and the Sousewolves, taking his duty as a warrior seriously and without doubt. Closing her eyes, she let the trembling that was beginning in her legs fade away, and she once again turned to snow, waiting for Dragula's most likely equally cold-toned reply. She would deal with him no matter what.
She would have to.

Dragula was not at all shocked when he heard Nara coming. He rolled his eyes before turning around to face the fuming huff of white. His eyes had changed, they were no longer the playful ones Nara had once gazed upon at the willow, now they were cold and unforgiving. His demeanor was different, possibly even more haggard and frightening than before. The black maned brute would not be Nara's timid pet anymore. He could not stand by her while shots were taken at him, while others held on to the hope that he would never retaliate because he was afraid of upsetting her. Dragula no longer gave a shit for anyone in this forsaken pack. He would not by the blunt of jokes, and disliked for nothing. Even know the white femme he had bonded with was turning her back on him, even if it wasnt a physical shunning. How dare she snarl at him, how dare she threaten him, he was not the one who had tackled another packmate to the ground without cause. Nara was lucky he didnt rip that bastards throat out, for he had no authority to punish Dragula in any sense. He was going to make damn sure Nara never let that slide under her nose.
Dragula turned on her, his eyes slinking into angry slits, as his black auds pinned against his crania, and he did something Nara probably never would have expected. He bared his knives at her, the mane upon his back standing bristled like soilders at attention. His paws spread part as he lowered his head protecting his vain, and a evil snarl escaped his grey lips. If she wanted to threaten him, he would challenge her right back. When she said he disapointed her, he cackled. "And im ashamed of you." he spat back. Was true, Dragula was ashamed to call her his alpha. She was being naive and foolish, and yet he was the one who apparently was the center of the problem. "You let your emotions rule your judgement. You picked a real stable fellow with nomad over there... he takes it upon himself to do your job.. whats worse, he does it in a cowardly fashion.." Dragula spat. For the maned beast thought it incredibly cowardly to attack another from behind, no if Hali had a real pair of balls, he would have called Dragula into a fight, not jumped him into one. "Better keep a tight leash on that one Nara." he said growling lowly. Dragula knew he was hurting Nara, and he didnt care... she had struck him first, and had dug the knife in deeper by scolding him now. The maned brute had not shrugged off his duties, Nara knew him well enough to know he took them incredibly seriously. Secondly, she could be mad that he walked off, but he simply didnt care to participate in the welcoming of Hali. Dragula had given her the approval she wanted, wasnt that enough? She didnt honestly expect him to buddy up with this deceptive and sneaky nomad had she?
Dragula scoffed at her next words. "Nara your making me sick with guilt." he mocked coldly. "How do you expect me to cherish and protect a pack of wolves who despise me? Hmm? How am I suppose to care about the well being of a nomad who takes it upon himself to scold me in your stead, a nomad who jumped me from behind? I dont protect cowards.. there not worth saving..." he growled. His eyes not wavering from Naras. If she wanted him gone he would do so. But at the moment all he wanted was his solitude and a chance to let his anger subside before she pushed him to do something they would both regret. Dragula was loyal to her, and protective of her, and no one else.

Even in madness, I know you still believe
And just like that, the extremely bright sun was clouded out by significantly gray clouds, and a few seconds later, baseball-shaped rain pelleted the Sousepack wolves gathered below. As this strange, sudden change of weather commenced, Nara's eyes turned a frightly shade of icy blue-gray, matching the sky above her. The earthy female scent that was her own was replaced by the scent of fresh rain, barreling off her in waves, and it seemed as if the rain did absolutely nothing to her, sliding off her creamy white fur as if it were as good as waterproof. The saddened and equally enraged alphess took one menacing step toward the brute who dared cross her, and snapped her bared fangs firmly around his scruff, shaking her head wildly to rip his fur, but just barely. And just as suddenly, she let go, an angry glint in her eyes.
"How dare you question my judgement!" she snarled, her voice filled with the authority given to her by Aetherpack. This was not the Drag she knew, and he would not be treated as such. "You think my feelings affect my affairs with the Pack? MY Pack! Listen. To. Yourself." Her entire body was trembling with the menacing emotions that she held back so painstakingly. As a result of her mounting anger, a gust of wind blew around her, swirling around Dragula, making his wild black mane whip and lash in the air. And here came the cold, hard truth. "They despise you, hate you, because you give them no reason to like you. You bring it all upon yourself, Dragula." Nara's tail was lashing wildly in the air. Subconsciously, she knew she wouldn't be able to keep her tidal wave of emotions in check much longer. Once again she called for the only other female among them, her voice tight with the strain of keeping it less strict. "Siyl?" the call came again, this time almost pleading. She needed a body next to her, or she would absolutely lose it.
Her cold gray eyes flashed to Haze and Halifax, such a contrast against her usual milky golden hues. She let her lips fall back over her teeth, and stressed a slight smile to play at her muzzle. "If this dog -" she used the title that she had given Dragula while rough-housing with him, but this time it had a lot more jaunt to it - "disobeys me again, Haze, you can start training our new warrior on him."

siyl To her own ears, Siyl considered her opinion to be stated quite accurately and effectively. She held a back a slight smile of satisfaction and instead flickered her attention to each wolf, pondering what their rebuttal might be. After seeing what distaste the wolves had at the Alpha herself bringing a newcomer to the pack lands, Siyl was exceptionally nervous of what others might think of her own opinion. She hoped her words were acceptable to every set of ears, just to avoid any conflict- getting in a fight wouldn't be the ideal thing to have in front of nearly everyone within Sousepack. With no spoken disapproval to her words, she gazed intently at Halifax, noting that he seemed to be contemplating something. Aside from that, he said nothing to what could be considered a compliment from her, sitting on his haunches with his head held submissively. She was about to study Dragula, considering he was usually the most disagreeing, but heard a relaxed sigh from Nara. She turned her head to Nara's direction, puzzled as she heard Nara utter a soft thank you. As if her rather nervous and defensive demeanor a few minutes ago melted, Nara was transformed into an appreciative and gentle wolf, eternally grateful for each wolf in Sousepack. The feeling didn't last long though, as Nara continued talking. Her voice became stronger, louder, more confident and assertive as she called out each wolf's new 'roles', starting with Siyl first. Nara told her, in her authority tone, that she wanted her to hunt as much prey as she could- big prey, too. Siyl wasn't fond of the idea of hunting large prey. It wasn't a job meant for one wolf, especially not her, and Soul was too scrawny to be much help. She held her tongue, though, listening to Nara drone on next for Dragula's task, then Haze's. Each were painfully boring to listen to, but it summarized Nara's new plan for the pack- protect themselves from other packs. She held back a sigh of boredom and turned her attention to the river running nearby. It grumbled, its waters moving over smooth rocks with a certain grace only nature could yield. Abruptly she heard a snort come from near her, and she jerked her head around. The sound in question came from Dragula's direction. She stared at the unsightly mess, once in a sitting position, now up and ambling away from the circle of wolves. His anger followed him like a trail of blood. Why is he so mad? Siyl thought, ears perked. Nevertheless, his decision to leave without being dismissed was a bad move, an utterly rude choice only making him fall from everyone's respect. However, she kept quiet, eyes glancing back at the others, when as abruptly as Dragula had left, a growl thundered through the air from Haifax's throat. He tore from his calm, sitting posture to a full-out sprint after Dragula's scrawny body. In a leap, Halifax lunged for the wolf, landing nearly on top of him and batting his paws to pin Dragula to the ground. Siyl craned her neck to see more, noticing Halifax was inches away from Dragula's face, looming above him. His mouth was dripping with hate as he uttered slow words in a low voice to Dragula- it was wrong of Dragula to leave. With a snarl twisting his face, Dragula responded, his words being "you are in no position to tell me shit." Like a chain reaction, Haze rose up too, but not to attack. In a calm and cocky saunter, he approached the quarreling wolves and nudged Halifax to get Dragula, reminding Halifax to get allies. The Haze wolf was odd, Siyl had to admit. Halifax hissed back at Haze, saying how 'wrong' it was for Haze to 'skulk off'. Siyl found herself changing her view of this Halifax quickly. He seemed to be quite the orthodox, purist type of wolf, adamant in his belief that the alpha was to be respected. Poor guy has a lot to learn, Siyl thought, standing up and willing herself to inch a bit closer to the scene to see more. She froze instantly when she heard Nara's voice behind her, however. It was quiet, but distraught, teeming with hatred and confusion. She forgot all about her Alpha- how was Nara going to react to this? Luckily, Nara placed Siyl at the least of concern, speaking only to Dragula. Her words condemned him on 'abandoning the pack in their time of need'. Dragula seemed to not realize Nara's shock and immediately spat back an equally angered reply. His words, tinged with his unsaid feelings of what she assumed to be alienation, even made Siyl feel bad for him. But aside from the sorrowful aftertaste as he spoke, he also pretty much bashed the entire pack- something Siyl couldn't say she was fond of. In reply, Nara snarled back, speaking words of absolute truth to Dragula as far as Siyl was concerned. What Nara said was true- Dragula brought his alienation and contempt upon himself by the way he acted. Nara's voice, Siyl realized, was tight and strained, unnerving to know it was the Alpha speaking. Even Nara's body was trembling- slightly, but it was. Then, in a final beseeching plea, Nara summoned her. Siyl scrambled to her Alpha's side, her expression in genuine concern this time. She contemplated licking Nara to calm her down, to remind her that she was there, but shook her head at the thought. Instead, Siyl nudged Nara gingerly in the shoulder, hoping she could turn her attention to her and not the scene. "Shhh, it's alright, Nara," she said gently, tail wagging in an effort to remain cheerful. WORD COUNT: 942 NOTES: NOTES: Good summary for people who are lost on what is going on. And it's from our little Siyl's point of view! What can be better than that? xD
