The world is currently much more advanced than it was in the year 2009. There are hover boards, flying cars, and everything in a person's life is monitored. People must wear their coded rings at all time. Everyone is kept track of this way but it is also a way for people to get in touch with them, much like a cell phone would be today. People are expected to attend classes, do chores, and help out in any way that they can. For doing this they earn credit, their form of money, to spend on whatever they wish from new clothes, the coolest new gadgets, or even a body modification.

People want to be noticed and that's everyone's goal in life pretty much. The higher up you are on Faces the more likely it is that you will be like a celebrity. People will want to be you and buy into whatever fad it is that you are currently involved in. Also, if you’re anyone in this city you are at the top of the faces list. Every year there is a large party at the Hartford Mansion for those who are worthy of Ileana Hartford’s attention, the current number one on the list of Faces.

At the age of twenty, people are considered adults and they are moved from the city into their new lives. They must accept whatever fate that they are given at birth, whether they like it or not. It is a rough life and many try to escape it, those who realize how bad it really is. People are already disappearing around the city. But is it of their own choice or not? No one is really sure though the government is trying to figure out…at least that’s what the new feeds keep saying.

So in a world where the newest trend and prettiest face gets you noticed….how do you make it to the top?
