I am a member on the RPG Collection, also known as Nova there, x) Penguiduck, a staff member there, was kind enough to reply to my "Rate The Rift" thread, and here are our scores, according to him! Some of the changes advised to us will be made in the future. But I am very proud of all of you, for keeping active, and making TR a great site to be part of!Plot (7)
Comments: I like how you put the general plot in the "Our Story" thread. It makes it easily accessible for members to find and read.
Compliments: This thread is generally very good, methinks. I appreciate how it is merely a summary-- it has enough detail for potential members to ponder over the possibilities and understand the mechanisms of your site, but it's also not an overwhelming around of information.
Advice: If I were searching for a wolf site to join, I would like to learn more about the packs because packs, their intentions, tendencies and personalities contribute greatly to the plot. Perhaps you could put up a thread about them?
At the same time, with the growing number of wolf sites, I don't necessarily feel that the plot itself is as creative as it could be... your site is much better than most, however, so be proud of yourself.
Rules (8.5)
Comments: Generally, very well done. I feel like you cover a good chunk of what's necessary.
Compliments: I like the way you separated everything so that it's clear to the reader where to find rules regarding certain topics. Your grammar and spelling are also good, which is always nice to see. XD It gives your site a good impression.
Advice: I don't feel that putting aetherprints in the rules is necessary because they aren't really rules, you know what I mean? They're just general information so I think it'd be better if you listed a separate thread for them. Also, the rules are kind mushed together, and that look (at least for me) is very unappealing, but whatever floats your boat. I would personally hit the enter key twice after stating each rule.
Boards (8)
Comments: XD I love that wolf on/off icon on the left. Did you make that yourself? :3
Compliments: Very creative with the names and the italicized translation beneath them. Even the multi-colored name "Nova" matches very well with the color of the skin.
Advice: There are a few grammatical errors with the board descriptions, and although they are rather minor, they do exist. Let me show you. My corrections are in green. "Although it's "It's" is a contraction, not a possessive. Basically, if you can break what you want to say into "it is" then "it's" would be fine. If not, you're dealing with a possessive, and should use "its." name refers to something that could be far more devastating, Rowtag is quite a peaceful place." There are several minor errors such as this littered through out the boards so you might wish to go find them.
I also think that you could be more descriptive. With each of the boards, I'm assuming that it covers a decently-sized expanse of land. I'm sure that you can paint a picture even more beautifully with your writing skills. ^_^
Spelling & Grammar (8)
Comments: Definitely better than average, but I still see a few grammar mistakes here and there. I have yet to find any spelling mistakes so you're good in that department.
Compliments: Like I mentioned above, there are very few things that you need to take care of, and for those that you do... well, I'm being really picky about them.
Advice: Let's go over an example. Again, comments in green. In your "Our Story" thread: "Still other wolves want change... they either want more land, better alphas, less [Fewer] Fewer belongs here as opposed to what you have now because packs are physically countable. "Less" should only be used in a comparison in which the items cannot be physically counted, such as time or sand. Packs..." Throughout the site, there are just tiny mistakes like these. I would suggest going over them. ^_^
Overall (8.5)
Thoughts On The Site As A Whole: It's a very nice site, better that most I have seen. Everything is organized, which is absolutely wonderful for guests and members. Your boards are arranged well and the sidebar is very helpful with navigation. Not to mention, your writing is rather expressive, easy and fun to read.
Overall Suggestions: One thing that really bothers me is that the ic boards are unviewable by guests. Now, I realize why you're doing this, but I also think that it draws some potential members away. I personally would never join a site before browsing through the ic threads and gauging the overall abilities for the members. However, this loss of these potential members may be negligible for you since you already have quite a few active members.
Other than that, I would just watch the grammar a bit. Read over what you've already written and make the corrections you need to.
Total Score (40/50)
Comments & Suggestions
Anything Else: None really. Everything I want to say, I've already said. I can see that you've put a lot of effort into this site, and I hope that this has been of help to you! ^_^ Good luck!
*By the way, don't worry about a critique for my site. I'm not currently seeking any. Besides, the person for whom you critiqued earlier hasn't looked at your thread yet so I figured that I'd just go ahead and do it. [/blockquote]

That's a great score! ^_^ Congrats to Nova and everyone else for doing such a marvelous job on the site. It seems like most of the critique was on things that can be easily changed, which is always good. I agree with his advice on making a pack information thread, too. That sounds like something that would be useful for new members when creating their characters.
