~ " Don't waste the energy Indeed. " Haze's voice broke through the air much like the bellow of an elder stag. Even when it was muffled by his preoccupied teeth, the message held authority. It was impossible for Haze to clearly wipe away his alpha roots, even if he had no interest for the position. Yet, now he dragged a rather nicely sized Doe along, his bulk and mass allowing him to do such with minimal strain. Finding his way closer to the brute. Haze pointingly ignored Parlae, only glancing her way and nodding to her presence before going back to the nervous pup.
Dropping the legs and allowing himself to fully use his mouth for communication, the sight of his fur was rather starling. His entire chest neck and scruff, including the muzzle and face were a deep scarlet, a messy layer of blood covered his front. He made it a point to tell exactly the reason for his appearance.
" Loner, killed this doe in our land... Indeed indeed, he is not breathing to say the least. " A wry smile broke over Haze's muzzle as he slowly dragged the doe closer to Parlae, a common politeness to offer to the femme, even with a hunter besides her. Regardless, if one was to scold him on being careless in a fight, they should inspect the blood first, for it was not his stench that held to the blood, rather it was his opponents. Amber eyes glittering in amusement, a handsome clash, for the amber was surrounded by scarlet red. Now though, he turned to the Nervous hunter besides him, Eyes that normally held amusement now flashed with admiration for the pup.
Raelen... That was his name, he acted like a over privileged Omega at times. Yet, Haze has come to respect the Omegas, a few have screwed him over in the past. " Have not see the souse's prime hunter in awhile... Where have you been Raelen? " Haze spoke conversely before turning his gaze to Parlae. Not caring if she spoke or not, neither did he care if she made eye contact or not. He was rather disappointed on how she shut him out rather quickly. Regardless, Haze could say his plans were going as he has envisioned, occupying Raelen with a question as he judged Parlae's reaction to his presence. All he knew was that he was being a fool for going back to a femme who was now forsaking him...
Haze never was a quitter though, Indeed Indeed.

The dark wolf had just been in the position to jump in after the fish whether she wanted it or not when a voice met his ears. He yelped with surprise and stumbled, not being able to catch himself his front paws ended up in the stream, scaring away the fat red fish. Pouting at his loss, he turned, only to start at the sight of Haze and his kill. Raelen blinked, obviously surprised to see Haze here. Geez. He sure did know how to make an entrance.
He instantly felt the need to cower down before the more dominant figure but he glanced at Parlae, remembering the disgust that shone in her eye for him and the way he acted. Maybe there was a way to salvage her opinion of him. Maybe. So he stood still, his legs aching with the need to buckle so he could lower himself to the ground. He gave a shaky smile to the larger wolf and dipped his head in greeting.
"H-Hey there Haze. Nice catch you got there." He said and gestured to the doe, coming over very very slowly to give it a light sniff. His mouth salivated but he clamped it shut before he drooled all over Haze's kill.
" Loner, killed this doe in our land... Indeed indeed, he is not breathing to say the least. "
Raelen shook his head a tiny bit and tentatively sat back on his haunches, trying to relax, which was proving to be a bit effort, but he shielded it to the best of his abilities. "Stupid loner." He commented, looking up at Parlae again, well if Haze wasn't going to ask her...
"You want some? I'm not that hungry." He called up to her, he sensed a little... something in the air between them. But it was probably just his imagination, so he shrugged it off and refused to think about it any longer. It wasn't his problem anyway, so he didn't need to worry about it.
" Have not see the souse's prime hunter in awhile... Where have you been Raelen? "
Raelen felt blood rush to his face at Haze's words. Was he trying to flatter him? Not likely, Haze just wasn't that kind of person, as far as Raelen knew. He hadn't gone out of his way to meet Haze, though he saw him around quite often. The only thing he really ever noticed about the wolf was that he had that dominating air to him and was very sarcastic. But that was about it.
"Oh.. heh.. I wouldn't say prime." Raelen said, trying to act modest, when the comment in itself had pleased him. And because it came from Haze? Even better. "I've just found camp really.. boring lately. I've been hanging around on the pack grounds. What about you?" He asked, finding this conversation easier than his one with Parlae, even though he had been a nervous wreck around her and he was somewhat more composed around Haze. Hey! Maybe this would be good for him! He was still prickling with nervousness inside but on the outside it hardly showed.

There truly know end to his pathetic nature. Was he honestly pitying her for a missing eye, and the inability to hunt larger dangerous game? Parlae was not hindered to much to hunt, but big game caused her much distress, both mentally and physically. She had not only lost her eye to an elk stag, but also her father. By far, her father was the one she had been most bonded too. The one eyed beauty quickly shook the thought, deciding it was best not to linger on such painful memories. When the brute stated that she would be good at it, she snorted. "Listen here, I am capable of hunting, just not the larger dangerous game." she said defending herself. She would not let this brute think she was some weakling that whined for food. No Parlae rather go hungry than become a scavenger or someone else's burden. She was far to independent for such foly. She scoffed when he offered to catch a salmon for her. "I am quite capable of catching my own." she said turning her head away from him as a distant rustling caught her attention. She didnt rise to her feet as her nose scented Haze.. oh lovely.
When he told her to not waste her time, she chuckled. Did he really think that she needed his reassurance to make a decision.. fool. The one eyed beauty had become quite spiteful toward the male, part of it stemming from the 'mistake' they had made the previous evening. The one eyed beauty was ashamed of herself, and even more irritated that Haze had taken such an invitation seriously. He should have known this would stress their fragile friendship, and cause tension that was thicker than fog. Parlae was not ready to be tied down to being someone's mate, least of all someone like Haze. He was everything she hated, yet couldnt help but love at the same time. Truly was an awkward and confusing situation, nonetheless she would not show weakness for him now. Nope, her eye remained emotionless, with a bit of anger burning with in her golden orb.
Though her eyes couldnt help but to scan over his muscular appearence, and the fact that he was drenched in the blood of battle, aroused her attention a bit. She was always one to admire the aftermath of victory, and well wasnt one to remove the scent of blood from her body so quickly. Though unlike before she did not offer him praise over his victory. When he drug the carcass by her, she pretended not to notice, and instead groome dher mitts. Parlae was showing absoulutly not interest in his kill, or his attempts to win her over. She did not need him taking care of her, she was quite capable of that on her own. When she caught him looking at her once again, she gave him a very cynical stare, as if saying 'what the hell are you looking at.' Parlae got to her feet, and stretched with a yawn, exposing her white fangs to both the males. Raelen was no threat to her, and well Haze would never attack her. She now sat on her haunched, her eye staring down at the boys as they exchanged their words, very little amusement in her eyes as she licked her paw.
"I'm sure the loner had more balls then you." she said not even looking over at Raelen. The loner was probably more confident than Rae, scratch that... she knew he was. No loner would dare hunt in packlands if he was a coward. Rae had a lot of potential but he realy needed to grow up, and get some balls. Parlae didnt mind pitying young pups, but this black male was just pathetic. When he offered her Haze's food, after she had already turned it down once with her body language, a low growl came deep from with in her throat. "Brute if you are hungry eat.. I dont scavenge." she said less than friendly. If the little black male was hungry he just should have said so, why try and use her as a cover... cowardly. Parlae yawned before flicking an aud and looking down at Haze for mere moments, before looking at nothing in particular.

~ Haze caught the cynical glances he was forced to accept upon himself. Well, actually... it made his snicker on the inside. Laugh at his apparent foolishness for his persistence. Now to be completely honest with himself, Haze was rather drawn to Parlae. Not for the little 'mistake' as she terms it. Not because of that, no... he has always liked how Parlae hid different layers of her personality. A true deceiver in her core. A newer Ryder without the insanity, a femme who would not break down completely because of a troubled past.
Indeed...
Yet, now his eyes narrowed. Brow forwarding in diminishing patience. Haze of all wolves in souse, well he loved taking pot shots at various enemies. Yet, was Raelen a enemy? No, so these little shots at him were unsporting at beast. A sigh escaping his maw after Parlae finished her little rebuke. Amusement showing in his eyes a moment before turning cold and critical. The amber gaze aimed sourly at Parlae.
It might be the fact that he was still covered in another wolf's blood. Standing erect and his tail flowing in a low arc. Yet, it was a bloody foolish attack the femme was throwing, pushing away those who are needed in a plan. " This coming from the femme who cannot help herself? Indeed indeed, Scavengers live more of a plentiful life then... say us? Indeed. " His voice seeped slowly from his muzzle. Spilling over in the underlying tone. Raelen was a coward, jumpy at beast. Yet, he was an accomplished hunter. No matter of what he was like in his social graces, he had his uses.
" Now, before you retaliate dear Parlae. You must remember that Enemies are not to be those from within Indeed. Raelan is one of our... better Hunters. To make him an enemy would most likely rob you of food. Maybe maybe. " A sly grin creeped along his muzzle.
Always playing a game that Haze, gaining Raelen's respect while testing Parlae's. She might act like she hates the white brute's guts now. Yet, Haze could smell the difference. Wither or not she wanted to accept it, she would have to deal with Haze long enough to figure out how she truly wants to go about this plan.
Amusing thing indeed, All has been going smoothly.

"Listen here, I am capable of hunting, just not the larger dangerous game."
"I am quite capable of catching my own."
"I'm sure the loner had more balls then you."
Bam. Bam. BAM. Low blow. He almost felt the breath leave his body at that one but found himself looking away. He didn't doubt that the loner was braver than he! Hell, the pups in the pack were braver than him! And even though he admitted it, it still hurt when coming from another. He frowned but somehow mulled up the courage to mutter loudly,
"I wouldn't doubt it...." at her last statement, still preoccupying himself with something far off. He certainly was the worm here, caught between two birds, one which was probably on the verge of hating him (No surprise there) and the other trying to defend him. But who defended a worm? Especially a worm who couldn't fight his own battles. His ear drooped a bit. Just being here was seriously doing bad things to his already very very low self esteem. Like he needed Parlae to bitch at him, even though he had thrown himself right into it by the cowardly way he presented himself to a wolf who seemed to get severely annoyed by such a presence in the pack.
He finally turned back to Haze but still refused to turn and give Parlae any sort of indication that her words had stunned and stung him. Though, she could probably smell it in the air. Ugh. Weird. He tried not to shiver at the thought.
"Brute if you are hungry eat.. I dont scavenge."
He shook his head, his brows furrowing in a bit of annoyance. Hell-o? He just said he wasn't hungry. Did she miss the memo? But he only grumbled softly, not near brave enough to speak out aloud. "I never said you did... " He muttered lightly, hoping she couldn't hear him.
" Now, before you retaliate dear Parlae. You must remember that Enemies are not to be those from within Indeed. Raelan is one of our... better Hunters. To make him an enemy would most likely rob you of food. Maybe maybe. "
He frowned even more so at this, he would never do that! Even if Parlae hated him and didn't like him bringing her food, he'd probably still do it anyway. One thing he hated, was putting others through what they put him through. Though he didn't really know anyone that well enough to treat them so horribly, he still didn't like watching it. Haven't they ever heard of 'You reap what you sew?' Common saying.
"I-I wouldn't do that.." He protested lightly, sending his large amber eyes up to Haze once more. He didn't really mind the defending, but he doubted it would stop Parlae from verbally attacking him further. She seemed like one to not give up so easily, especially at a statement like that. But the dark wolf remained rather silent, hoping they would talk around him so he could have an excuse to leave.

Parlae was slowly becoming annoyed witht he situation as a whole. Haze's presence made her sick to her stomach, and Raelen was poor company. The one eyed minx had been enjoying her morning solitude. Her private time, allowed her to contemplate what to do about Haze. Yes Haze was still swimming about her mind, as she pondered why she had chosen him of all the males to burden her. She could have easily found a less troublesome suitor, for example Raelen. Not that she would ever mate with a coward, but he would have been less of an annoyance. This mostly because he would be to shy to approach her, and look at her the way Haze was. She snapoed from her thoughts at Haze's words. He was really pushing her buttons this morning, and if he wasnt careful he would find out just how bitchy this minx could be. Parlae was not one to attack her own packmates, but for Haze... she could make an exception.
His words caused her to role her eyes. She was no puppy and she did not need him lecturing her as if she was one. Raelen would defend himself when he had enough, and that was what the one eyed minx was pressing for. She was giving the black male tough, harsh friendship. Though her words were cruel, she was merely attempting to make him retaliate, show a backbone, and gain some damn confidence... pity her white lover didnt see this, Parlae had thought him far wise. But if her Casanova so decided to continue this little duel, she wouldnt back down. She was a tricky minx, and Haze would ne wise to stay on his toes. Just because she gave into him, did not make her his.... did she need to remind him of this with a quick tongue lashing. However, Rae spoke before her, making this all too easy. Raelen had played right into Parlae's paws, and his simple words had made her respect for him grow.. he turned on Haze. She wasnt quite sure Haze had expected that little notion, and it made a grin form on her lips.
"It seem Raelen does not share your opinion...Haze dear" came the minx's taunting words, as she lept from her rocky thrown, back into the realm of the peasent males. Though, this time she was not showing favor to Haze like she had when it had been him, and the Torrid brute. Suprisingly enough she was standing beside Raelen... turning on her lover, and challenging him in a way she wasnt sure he ever had been. She wanted to piss Haze off, for if she did he would leave her be, and not mind what could possibly be growing in her belly. Parlae wasnt ready to be enslaved by being his mate, or by having his puppies, but she didnt have much choice in the latter one.. so she might as well be victorious in the first.

~ " That he may, indeed indeed. At least he is brave enough to disagree then. " Haze's grin was not unkindly, yet it was full of suppressed patience and aimed directly at Parlae. The femme was now attacking him, trying to get under his skin and show him for what he was not. Haze could respect the cunning, yet he full well would not allow it to happen. This was no time to be attacking each other, not with other packs going for the prey the Souse had right too.
" Now is not the time... to be attacking each other. I apologize Indeed Parlae, for saying any offense... " His tone matched his words, bowing slightly towards the femme. Yet, now showing submission, it was not unheard of for Haze to apologize for anything he had done. He just could not afford any one person being against him at this moment, Parlae more exclusively. Regardless, he turned to Raelen. " Ease up Rae, no one here will attack you unless you do something absolutely... foolish. " His muzzle slipped into a wry smile as he looked back at the femme. " The doe is your Parlae, I do not care if you agree to it or not. I need to get back to my patrol indeed... Besides, all this blood scares off the more bolder nomads it does! Indeed. " His chuckle was boisterous yet no cold. With one final nod to the others, Haze made his move to depart.
Parlae was going to be an interesting puzzle, for right now she dismissed the white brute as an extreme annoyance. Regardless, he needed to keep himself keen to how things moved about in the pack now. To many were aprt of his plans to just slip away, Parlae mroe than most.

Raelen watched Haze, frowning still. Jumping a bit in surprise when suddenly Parlae was standing beside him, he went very still, not daring to move away when she spoke to Haze. How dare she! Pull that bipolar crap on him. One minute she was snapping at him and the next she was all buddy-buddy because he corrected Haze on one little thing. Puh. If she had a problem with him then it needed to be that way all the time! Not just switch whenever he did something she liked, he wasn't a pet.
And then before he knew it, Haze was leaving. Whoa wait! Did he seriously just leave him here with her? Oh god. This wasn't cool. He was hoping they might start fighting so he could leave! Ugh. Now he was stuck here again. Hey, maybe she would let him leave. Or maybe she would switch back to her "hate" mode again. He didn't like this. She was unpredictable, which made him nervous.
The minute Haze was out of sight he scooted away from her, not at all liking the closeness. He shot her a look, not one of any offense to her though.
"Aren't you two a match made in heaven." The wolf said lowly but clearly loud enough for her to hear. The comment was purely sarcastic, not meaning held within it at all, but he wasn't sure that she would see it that way. She was oddly prickly about him seeing any feeling between Haze and herself. Why though? Oh well. It wasn't his problem.
Raelen snorted a bit. Why was he always the one who got caught in situations he didn't need to be in?
