French camp

Doesn't that sound nerdy!? Hahah,

Alright, just a heads-up, everyone, I will be gone June 22 - July 18 to attend a French language camp. I think French is interesting and all, but the main reason I'm attending is because I do NOT want to take a language class during my school career while I could be taking a much more fascinating class. This camp will give me my high school credit that I need to go to college, so it's all good.

I was excited to go at first. It's going to be an amazing experience, and I'm going to meet a lot of new people. But I'm very torn now, because I recently realized that it's total immersion. As in, I can't have my cell phone, I can't have my iPod unless every song is French, no computer, no TV... I'm going to be cut off from my world, and all my friends. It's gonna almost be like losing an entire month of summer! But I know the outcome will be good for my future... *sigh*

So, with that said, I'm going to be doing everything in my power to make sure that TR does NOT die. About a week or so before I leave, our most-loved Patronize will be promoted to a staff position, so she will be running the site (she will also be keeping this position).

I will also be promoting one other member to be a temporary moderator.

And as for all you members, do your BEST to keep advertising, making characters, creating mini-plots, posting in IC, etc! Keep our spirit and friendliness alive!

Very smart of you to arrange to take in the summer instead at school. And I agree, it will be an amazing experience- especially since you'll be learning French everyday on a regular basis. By the time you get out you'll be a master on French. xD


I'm sad to hear you'll be gone for so long though, Nova. =/ But don't think Rift will die- we have a strong member base. I'm also thrilled to know you're going to be promoting me.

Can't wait to see who the moderator will be! Perhaps he/she could become permanent?

But anyway, trust me, Rift will not die. You have Halifax, the new moderator, me, and plus all our other dedicated members.
